Mice In Attic

Mice cannot only be seen on floors or in any corners of the house. Mice can live in attics too. And it's the best place for them because it's dark and they can move freely.

You may ask why there are mice in attic. How do they get up there? The answer is just simple. They are great in climbing up. The problem here is, files you kept in antique can be chewed and they will make your attic as their nests. Their droppings will be laid all over and their droppings cause nasty diseases. Since mice can reproduce quickly, it's important for us to get rid from them once you spot on them in the attic.

Here are the things that you will need:

  2. Glue traps
  3. Metal Bowl
  4. Grease
  5. Cheese
  6. Cardboard
  7. Poison
  8. Cats Mint

It's up to you to choose which step you are comfortable to do.

Mice In Attic
  1. Set up traps in the attic with a peanut butter. It can also be a cheese as bait. Do not set it for only 2 days, so mice will think that the trap you set up is safe. Put on the trigger. Wait till the mice eat the trap as a daily meal. Feed the mice for about two weeks.
  2. Lay some of the glue traps on the area you saw the mice in attic. Once they step on it, they will stick on the glue and not letting them to get away from the trap. You can even catch for about two mice at once. Continue doing this strategy until you catch all the mice in attic.
  3. Grease up the metal bowl then place one piece of a cheese in it. Create ramp on the cardboard then tape it to the bowl's end. Place this trap where you saw mice. The mouse will definitely climb up to the ramp, and then jump in causing it to get stuck because it cannot anymore climb out.
  4. Buy a poison from hardware or get it in your own home. Combine chicken broth together with a boric acid, then roll its mixture in the small ball. Balls should be placed around the attic, then just wait and the mice will eat and eventually dies out.
  5. Put the cat in the attic. Surely mice in attic will be lessened and eventually will disappear.
  6. You can also place mint plants in the attic. Mice hate mint's smell and they will avoid this kind of smell in any cost.

You can choose either of these steps. Or you may also do all the steps available if needed. Keep your family safe from these harmful little animals. Whenever you spot mice in attic, don't give them the opportunity to harm your health.
