Mice Traps
|
In fall mice often enter the house to seek food and shelter. If they enter your house they may cause a serious damage. They chew the wires, get into the walls and leave their droppings everywhere in house, which creates an unsanitary environment. They can carry diseases and create havoc in the house. If they get in to your house you have to work fast to stop them from breeding. There are various ways to banish mice from your house humanely one of which is mice traps. There are many mice traps available to deal with the mice in your home. There are such mice traps, which kill and dispose off the mice and some mice traps only catch these tiny terrors without hurting them. The traps, which keep the mice alive, are called humane mice traps and the traps, which kill the mice, are non-humane mice traps.
Humane mice traps only capture the mouse without hurting or injuring it. Commonly a box trap is used to capture the mouse alive. The box traps have an opening from which the mouse enters the box while a trap door is behind which closes after he enters the box. In this way the mouse cannot escape until you take it somewhere away from your home and release it. Box traps are available in both metal and plastic material. Peanut butter or some other bait is used to trap the mouse. These mice traps can be used repeatedly. But one disadvantage of humane mice traps is that some people release the mouse too nearer to their home and the mouse can get back to their home again. 5 minutes drive in your car is recommended before you release the mouse. Non-humane mice traps are those in which mice are killed instantly and feel little pain. A common type of these mice traps is spring trap. Spring traps are mostly made up of metal or plastic with a spring on them. The user sets the spring. Bait is placed on it. The spring shuts on the mouse when the mouse tries to touch the bait. It kills the mouse and after that mouse trap is emptied. Some electronic traps are also available. In electronic traps there is a sensor pad in it, which delivers an electric shock to the mouse when it enters to the trap. The electric shock kills the mouse instantly. Similarly poison traps allow the mouse to eat the poisonous bait and kills it quickly. But non-humane mice traps can prove threat to the young children or pets in the home. Proper care is needed before placing these traps in your house. |
